The water of rivers, canals and lakes, especially a part of the 1 percent fresh water that we have stored, is constantly being polluted in various ways.

Even the groundwater that we get from wells or tube wells and use for various purposes, from eating to drinking, is becoming contaminated with various chemicals (such as arsenic) and becoming unusable. Although our water resources are plentiful, the amount of usable water is very limited.

So we have to be very economical in using water and also think about how to use the same water over and over again.
Is the recurrence of water in nature?
Yes, happening. We know that in the heat of the sun, the water of the surface oceans, rivers, canals and beels evaporates and enters the atmosphere. At one point the vapor condenses and returns to the earth’s surface in the form of clouds and then rain.
A large part of this rain water falls into rivers, canals, beels and seas and evaporates again and returns in the form of rain. This repetition of water is very important. Can you tell what kind of problem would have happened if this had not happened again?
Without this recurrence there would be no rain, which would make the whole world a desert. There would be severe drought, crop production would be reduced. Rain is a natural recurrence of water. If we collect waste water after use, purify it and use it again, then that too will be a kind of recycling.

In a word, quality water is needed for everything from industries to agriculture and daily life. Otherwise, on the one hand, human health may be harmed and on the other hand, the country may be severely damaged economically.

Usually the processes by which water is purified are filtration, chlorination, boiling, distillation etc. These processes are described below:

Filtration is the process of separating solids from a mixture of liquids and solids. Water contains insoluble dust-sand particles and various dirt-waste particles.
They are removed from the water by filtration. To do this the water is flowed through the sand layer, then the insoluble dirt particles in the water get stuck in the sand layer.
In addition to the sand layer, filtration can also be done using very finely made cloth. The filters we use in many of our homes today are filtered with more advanced materials.

If there are pathogens in the water, it must be removed and this is done using a disinfectant. Various disinfectants are used to purify water. One of them is chlorine gas (Cl).
Also used are bleaching powders [(Ca (OCl) Cl]) and some other substances, which contain chlorine and can kill germs. What are the tablets or kits used to purify water during floods in our country?
It is basically sodium hypo chloride (NaOCl). The chlorine in it destroys the germs in the water. In addition to chlorine, the germs in the water can be destroyed with ozone (O3) gas or ultraviolet rays. Water is disinfected using the method.

In this process, water is heated in a container and it is evaporated. After that the vapor is condensed again and pure water is collected. Purified water in this process is less likely to contain other substances.
