What is nutrition and What is food ( part-1)

Nutrition and Food

We cannot survive without food. The growth of the body, replenishment of immunity, immunity is all through food. Our good health depends on the nutrition of the food we eat. The effect of food on our body is the most. The effects of food affect our health, appearance, work, behavior, work capacity, quality of life and many other things. Food is the main source of energy for our body through a complex process. We will know the details after a while.

What is food?

In general, whatever we eat is known as food. But the actual definition of food is different.
In the language of nutrition science, the food items that meet our decay and energy production and growth in the body, prevent disease is therefore food.

What is nutrition?

The energy that is obtained by absorbing and digesting all the food items after we absorb and digest them after meeting the food meets the energy needs of the body, prevents disease and meets the decay so it is nutrition.

Food work:

Although there is a lot of food work, the main work is three.

1. Food builds, enhances, corrects and maintains the body.

2. Food provides energy to the body and produces heat.

3. Food prevents disease, keeps the body healthy, strong and functional.
Food ingredients:

Food ingredients can be divided into two ways depending on the subject matter.

1. The main ingredient

2. Auxiliary material

1. The main ingredient

There are three main components of food

A. Sugars or carbohydrates

B. Protein

C. Lipids or Fats

A. Sugars or carbohydrates

The main food of human beings is sugars or carbohydrates
Made of sugar with three ingredients. The three elements are carbon, oxygen and hydrogen. It is also called carbohydrate because it is made up of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. Sugar has no color or smell, but the taste is slightly sweet.

Carbohydrates

There are two types of sugars or carbohydrates depending on the source.

1. Vegetable source

2. Animal sources

1. Vegetable source

The sugars that are found in plants are vegetable sugars. By reviewing some different sugars, it can be understood that there are 5 types of vegetable sugars.

A. Starch

B. Glucose

C. Fructose

D. Sucrose

E. Cellulose

A. Starch

The main sources of starch are rice, wheat, maize and other grains. Starch is also found in red potatoes, potatoes and kachu.

Starch

B. Glucose

It is a sweet national sugar. But less sweet than sugar. It is found in apples, dates, carrots, grapes etc.

Glucose

C. Fructose

The name fructose comes from fruit. It is called Fruitose or Fruit Sugar as most of the fruits contain this sugar. Most fruits and flowers, including mangoes, papayas, oranges and bananas, contain fructose.

Fructose

D. Sucrose

The main sources of sugar, sugarcane, sugarcane molasses.

Sucrose

E. Cellulose

All types of vegetables contain cellulose.

Cellulose

2. Animal sources

The sugars that are found in animals are called animal sugars. There are two types of animal sugars.

A. Lactose

B. Glycogen

A. Lactose

It is also called milk sugar. These sugars are found in the milk of goats, cows and other animals milk.

Lactose

B. Glycogen

These sugars are found in the liver and meat of animals and poultry (chickens, pigeons).

Glycogen

B. Protein

Just as sugars are made of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, so are proteins made of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen. Basically, meat produces amino acids. That is, after digestion, meat is converted to amino acids. Before we discuss amino acids below, we need to know how many types of meat or how to divide meat according to the source. According to the source, there are two types of meat like sugar.

Protein

1. Vegetable source

2. Animal sources

1. Vegetable source

Vegetables from plants are called vegetarian meats. Pulses, bean sprouts, nuts, peas are examples of vegetable meat.

Protein vagetable source

2. Animal sources

All the meat that is obtained from animals is called animal meat. Fish, meat, milk, eggs, lamb, cheese are examples of animal meat.

Amino acids

20 types of amino acids are found in human body. Of these, 8 amino acids are essential. These eight are called essential amino acids. Animal Protein These eight amino acids are found to have high nutritional value. Among the plant sources, pulses, soybeans, and beans contain these essential amino acids, so their nutritional value is high.
Many important meats or proteins for the animal body. Most of our body cells are made up of proteins. Our bones, muscles, nails, fur, feathers, animal horns are made of meat and protein. Thus 50% of our dry weight is made up of protein.

Fats

Fats are made by fatty acids and glycerol. Fatty acids and glycerol combine to form lubricants. About 20 types of fatty acids are found in our daily diet. What we see as fats is actually solid fats.Fats are called saturated fatty acids. At normal room temperature or normal temperature they are in solid state . For example: meat and fish fat. Without saturated fatty acids, unsaturated fatty acids are also seen.Unsaturated fatty acids remain liquid at normal temperatures. This unsaturated fatty acid is what we call oil. For example: our used soybean oil, mustard oil, sunflower oil. There are two sources of fats like proteins. So there are two types of fats according to the source.

1. Animal source

2. Vegetable source

1. Animal source

The fat that come from the body of an animal are called animal sources of fat . We see many kinds of animal sources. Notable among them are meat with fat, separate fat, butter, cheese, Ghee, egg yolk, etc.

2. Vegetable source

The fats that are found in the body of plants are called vegetable sources of fats. We find fats vegetable sources like animal sources in many ways. However, most vegetable sources are either liquid or oil. Among the oils, mustard, soybean, sesame, linseed, corn, coconut, sunflower, palm etc. are notable. Also almonds, pistachios and peanuts are fats good source.

The work of Fats

1. Fat produces more heat and energy from the food we eat every day.

2. The substitute for fats for body nourishment and growth is immense.

3. Fats is communicated as the body’s food store.

4. Fats plays a major role in stopping heat dissipation and serves as the food of the future.

5. Helps to prevent skin diseases and keeps skin smooth and alive.

6. Helps in the absorption of vitamins (A, D, E and K) which are soluble in fats.

Deficiency diseases and remedies

Different types of skin diseases, eczema are caused by lack of fat. Fats are responsible for ruining the beauty of the skin by making it dry and rough. Due to the connection of protein with fat, the lack of fat in the body for a long time leads to the loss of meat or protein accumulated in the body which results in loss of body weight. When excess fat accumulates in the body, if it is not expended then blood circulation in the body is disrupted and fat increases. Diseases attack easily in obese bodies.
